Angle Ring Company Ltd, working from their extensive production
facility in the West Midlands, have completed two large
Marine Winch Drum fabrications for a leading supplier
to the industry. |

Utilising it s considerable experience in heavy
steel cylinders fabrication the cylinder was completed
and shipped to schedule. The 2540mm diameter x 4650mm
long drum was manufactured from 50mm thick steel plate
in two parts. The fabrication weighed in at 16 tonnes.
The drum incorporated internal Tee stiffeners as part
of the fabrication assembly. Submerged arc welding was
used for the plate welds and involved full weld testing
and certification. Fabrication was undertaken with Lloyds
approved welders backed by first class quality assurance.
Angle Ring Company, who themselves are celebrating over
50 years of service to industry, are the counties leading
bending engineering companies. With capabilities to bend
the largest structural sections, hollow sections and tubes
up to 914mm diameter, Angle Ring have added new Plate
Rolling and Press Braking capacity to provide a significant
extension to the range of metal forming capabilities.
